Did you ever feel like you keep working non stop but nothing seems to be getting done? Ok, I know things are getting done, but there always seems to be more to do and never enough time to do it!!
I went ahead and took some pics of my sewing room, even though it's not totally done, this morning after snow blowing the driveway(enough with the snow already!).
First is the hallway side of the faux wall my dad built for me, it blocks the large opening between the sewing room(used to be dining room) and the hallway by the stairs...
Here is the screen door that I got at that barn sale, I still need to paint the wood that my dad added to make it fit the doorway, but I love it!
Sorry for the rest of the pics, they really don't do the colors justice, the snow glare outside is really washing out the pics, but you will get a general idea of the room. It really is a warm cozy space without being as dark in color as the rest of my house.
The first pic shows the curtains from goodwill that inspired the color, I never thought I would go with yellow! Well, it's more of a golden butter color, and Benjamin Moore calls it Marblehead Gold...
As yo can see, I moved the rocker and ottamon into the room from the family room. I switched the table, recovered the sofa in a caramel crushed velvet(curtains again), and painted the shutters and then distressed them.
Hope, this next pic is for you. I found these two long red wood handled hot dog or marshamellow roasters at the antique/junk store for $2, I'm running out of room in my berry strainer!lol!
That's it for now. I need to pick up around the house, still working on laundry, and I'm in the process of making spring/summer curtains for the family room. And I have 3 poodle skirts to alter for my daughter's play.
Have a productive day,
ps, I have such a major secrect to tell, but I can't spill the beans yet!
