Here's the pin cushion...
Just a quick post for Wednesday to show you the final pin cushion I made for the swap. I have a busy day today, so I won't be on the computer. I need to work on my messy kitchen, I am planning to turn the one part into a sewing center and then the table area into a sitting area. All of this requires lots of packing up of stuff in cupboards and sorting through junk. Plus, we are bringing home 2 Guinea pigs from my son's preschool today. We are babysitting them for the next week and half over April break so I need to figure out where we are putting them. We've never done well with small animals so say a prayer that we don't unintentionally kill them!
Here are some more pics of the pin cushion. I was going for a small cake, came out a bit bigger than I thought it would, but that seems to be my trend. I found the baby cake stand this past weekend and thought it would work great for this, what do you think? I was going to put more detail but my kids said it looked good as it is, so I went with their advice.
I love the shrinkie dink pins, I plan on making a bunch more for myself.
Have a fun day.
Tiff

I Love It!!! What a cute idea ~ I agree with the kids ~ the sprinkles are perfect just as they are. The recipient will be pleased as punch!

Your cushion looks scrumptious! Many thanks for arranging such a nice swap -- it was my first, and it was a great learning experience. It was the best way to get started.

It's beautiful, especially on the stand. It really gives it a prominant place - as it should. It looks great with the little shrinky dink pins in it. Good luck with the kitchen reorg and the guinnea pigs :o)

So cute! I think you need one for yourself in your kitchen sewing area. How appropriate! I think I'll make one for me as well . . .
